We are pleased to announce that Penetrator Co., Ltd. has developed a new system that efficiently identifies potential vacant houses by combining satellite data with data on water supply activation and deactivation.
This initiative was conducted as part of the "Sagamihara Acceleration Program (hereinafter referred to as SAP) 2024" hosted by Sagamihara City in Kanagawa Prefecture. This demonstration experiment confirmed that vacant houses can be detected more easily and accurately than before.
The increase in vacant houses, driven by aging and the difficulties of inheritance, poses a serious social problem. Vacant houses that are not properly managed carry various risks. For the staff of Sagamihara City, understanding the situation of vacant houses and responding to their removal has become a significant challenge.
In response to this situation, our company has developed a vacant house exploration model that combines the “bird's-eye view (i.e., satellite data)” from space with the “mole's-eye view (i.e., water supply activation and deactivation data)” from underground.
